Zelenskyy: Ukraine is ready to be a guarantor of food security for Malawi and other African countries
During a conversation with Malawian President Lazarous Chakwera, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Ukraine is ready to be a guarantor of food security for Malawi and other African countries.
This was reported by the press service of the President of Ukraine.
As noted, the leaders of Ukraine and Malawi discussed bilateral relations and instructed the teams to prepare proposals for expanding cooperation.
“We have promising areas: digitalization and IT, education, food,” Zelensky said.
As previously reported, in March, Volodymyr Zelenskyy noted that Ukraine, together with the UN World Food Program, was developing new routes for the Grain from Ukraine program, including to Malawi.
In April 2024, Sudan received another batch of Ukrainian grain under the Grain from Ukraine initiative.
