Zelenskyy proposes that the governments of Ukraine and Poland hold talks on the border in the near future: I’m ready to be there too

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has instructed representatives of the Ukrainian government to arrive at the Polish border in the near future to negotiate the blocking of the checkpoint.

“I want to appeal to everyone who remembers what the full meaning of the word ‘solidarity’ means. A word that has changed the history of our entire Europe for the better. It did. And in many ways it still is. But we also see excessive and unfair politicization now, which can make common achievements crumble,” the head of state said.

Zelenskyy also noted that he had instructed our government to be on the border between our countries in the near future, by February 24.

“And I ask you, Donald (Donald Tusk – Ed.), Mr. Prime Minister, to come to the border as well. And to Andrzej (Andrzej Duda – Ed.), Mr. President, I ask you to support this dialog. This is national security. We must not delay it. The coming days give us a chance to do this. I am ready to be at the border together with our government. And I want to appeal now to the European Commission: we need to preserve unity in Europe. This is a fundamental interest of the European Union. That is why Ukraine is appealing to the European Commission to have a representative of the European Commission take part in this meeting. Enough of Moscow on our lands. Enough of misunderstandings,” Zelensky added.

Teraz chcę zwrócić się do wszystkich, którzy pamiętają, co oznacza pełny sens słowa solidarność. Słowo, które tak bardzo zmieniło historię całej naszej Europy na lepsze. Tak było. I pod wieloma względami nadal tak jest. Ale teraz widzimy również nadmierną i niesprawiedliwą polityzację, przez którą wspólne osiągnięcia mogą zacząć rozsypywać się.

Poleciłem naszemu Rządowi, w najbliższym czasie, do dwudziestego czwartego lutego, przybyć na granicę między naszymi państwami. I proszę Ciebie, Donaldzie, Panie Premierze, żebyś też przybył na granicę. Andrzeju, Panie Prezydencie, proszę Ciebie o wsparcie tego dialogu. To jest bezpieczeństwo narodowe. Nie możemy tego odkładać. Najbliższe dni dają nam na to szansę.

Jestem gotów być na granicy razem z naszym Rządem. I chcę teraz zaapelować do Komisji Europejskiej – trzeba utrzymać jedność w Europie. To jest fundamentalny interes Unii Europejskiej. Dlatego Ukraina apeluje do Komisji Europejskiej, aby przedstawiciel Komisji Europejskiej wziął udział w tym spotkaniu.

Dość Moskwy na naszych ziemiach. Dość nieporozumień.
