Zelenskyy discussed with Johannis the work of Ukraine’s export corridor with Romania and Moldova
On April 11, Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with Romanian President Klaus Iohannis on the sidelines of the Three Seas Summit.
The two leaders discussed cooperation in the defense sector. Zelenskyy told his counterpart about the Russian shelling of the Dniester hydroelectric power plant and emphasized that Ukraine’s air defense system needs to be strengthened to create a reliable air shield.
The presidents also discussed the work of Ukraine’s export corridor with Romania and Moldova.
“We appreciate Romania’s position on the transit of Ukrainian agricultural products. In the context of Russian aggression, the Ukraine-Romania tandem makes a significant contribution to global food security,” Zelenskyy emphasized.
According to Iohannis, he reaffirmed “Ukraine’s firm support in all relevant dimensions and our determination to strengthen regional ties, sustainable cross-border cooperation and energy security.”
