Wheat exports from Kazakhstan keep falling
370 KMT of wheat was exported from Kazakhstan in December, or 23% less than in the previous month and down 37% from December 2018/19, UkrAgroConsult reports.
Wheat exports since the beginning of the season is down 23% from the same period in MY 2018/19.
As before, the top importer is Uzbekistan, but it has appreciably decreased purchases in recent time therefore they are now down 11% year-on-year.
During the first four months, growth is only observed in exports to Turkey (+12%), Iran (+81%) and China (+7%).
The other importing countries reduce purchases against MY 2018/19: Afghanistan, Turkmenistan, Turkey, Azerbaijan, the EU.
