Ursula von der Leyen urges Putin to extend “grain deal”

European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen has called on Russian dictator Vladimir Putin to extend the grain deal.
According to von der Leyen, if Putin refuses to extend the agreement, global food security could be the result. “The ball is now in Russia’s court, and the whole world is watching,” she said.
Earlier, Putin announced the conditions under which Russia is ready to continue participating in the grain deal.
The UN offers Russia to extend the deal in exchange for the connection of its subsidiary “Rosselkhozbank to the SWIFT international payment system.
In the meantime, Russia continues to block the work of the grain initiative.
