Ukrzaliznytsia JSC has resumed exports of Ukrainian agricultural products by rail through Poland, which had been suspended since April 15.

Relevant shipments are allowed for land transit and for transit to the seaports of Gdansk, Gdynia, Swinoujscie and Shetsin.

It is reported that the company received a notification from the Polish carrier PKP Cargo that the restrictions on these shipments were lifted. The order to resume the transit of agricultural products was issued by the Minister of Development and Technology of Poland Waldemar Buda.

The mirror restrictions on the transit of certain cargoes to Poland, which were imposed by UZ on April 17 following an appeal by Polish rail operators PKP Cargo and PKP LH, will be lifted.

At the same time, the fate of 3,000 railcars with Ukrainian agricultural products that were accepted by Polish carriers before the ban was imposed remains an open question.

Further logistics developments in the Black Sea region and globally will be discussed by UkrAgroConsult analysts and leading agribusiness operators at the international agro event EURO GRAIN HUB Exchange & Forum on April 26-28 in Bucharest, Romania. Join the key stakeholders from the Black Sea region, Central & Eastern Europe and Balkans, contributing to the global commodity supply chain.
