Ukrainian ports significantly reduced grain exports in January
Exports of Ukrainian agricultural products by water transport, depending on the rate of shipment in January, are expected to be in the range of 3-3.8 million tons, which is significantly lower than the figure of 6.1 million tons in December.
This was reported by Spike Brokers analysts on Telegram.
Thus, as of January 28, the shipment for export by water transport in the first month of the year amounted to: 439 thsd tonnes shipped through the Danube ports and it is planned to ship another 62 thsd tonnes in January; 2.5 mln tonnes shipped by seaports and it is planned to ship an additional 874 thsd tonnes in January.
“Water freight rates have begun to strengthen, and exporters are actively preparing programs for March and April,” the experts added.
