Ukrainian ports: no complications with shipments observed
According to data from the ports, from February 14 to February 21, inclusive, shipments of grain from the sea terminals of Ukraine amounted to 1736 KMT, including 356 KMT of wheat, 56 KMT of barley, 1293 KMT of corn, 85 KMT of sun oil.
Export pace is in line with the record harvest of 2021 and significantly exceeds last year’s shipments.
From February 1 to February 21, according to the lineup data, the following commodities were shipped:
- wheat: 848 KMT (up 54% y/y)
- barley: 157 KMT (58 times more than y/y)
- corn: 3523 KMT (up 89% y/y)
- sun oil: 364 KMT (30% y/y).
According to the map below, maritime traffic in the Black and Azov Seas continues. According to market operators, shipments are taking place as usual, no delays have been registered.

At the same time, there is a reduction in demand from buyers fearing possible future problems with shipments. However, we expect the main importers to return to active purchasing soon, as Ukraine has a significant share of the global agricultural market, with grain and vegoil supplies of a good quality and reasonable prices.
