Ukrainian grain crisis in the EU: it will take several weeks to resolve the issue
Some countries have already agreed on a plan to license Ukrainian agricultural products supplied to the European Union.
The Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine Mykola Solsky said this on TV.
He noted that work is underway with five neighboring countries (Poland, Hungary, Slovakia, Romania, and Bulgaria) to unblock agricultural exports.
“We have already exchanged notes with Romania. That is, de facto and de jure, the country has confirmed that it will work according to this plan. Some have taken a break to prepare questions,” the minister said.
Solsky clarified that meetings with representatives of these countries and the European Commission will be held this week.
“I think this is a matter of several weeks. In fact, Romania and Bulgaria are already working on this option. They are waiting for us to take the next steps. Hungary, Slovakia and Poland are still in negotiations and coordination,” he said.
