Ukrainian farmers have sown 4.4 million hectares of winter grain crops

Sowing of winter grain crops continues in Ukraine, 4.4 million hectares, or 92% of the forecast, have been sown.
- Wheat – 3.7 million hectares, or 93%.
- Barley – 600 thousand hectares, or 89%.
- Rye – 79.1 thousand hectares, or 92%.
During the previous week, farmers sowed 97.1 thousand hectares of winter crops for grain.
Agrarians of six oblasts: Vinnytsia, Volyn, Kyiv, Poltava, Ternopil and Bukovyna completed sowing of winter grain crops. In Kyiv region, 164.1 thousand ha were sown, or 124.7% of the forecast. In the other five regions – 100%-101% to the forecast. Agrarians of Zhytomyr Region, Khmelnytskyi Region and Chernihiv Region are close to completion.
Agricultural producers of all regions of Ukraine completed the sowing of winter rapeseed, 999 thousand hectares of which were sown, or 104% of the forecast.
