Ukraine. Winter rape acreage is 6% larger than last year

According to the latest update as of October 21, planting of winter grains slowed down to 5.4% behind last year. 10 Th ha of winter rape is left to be planted – its acreage is 5.8% larger than last year, reports UkrAgroConsult.

Corn harvest slowed down, though remaining 4.7% ahead of last year; its yield is down 2.3% from October 22, 2018.

Buckwheat harvest slowed down to 38.7% behind last year; yield dropped, but remains 5.7% higher than in 2018. Millet harvest is 67.0% ahead of last year, with 21.8% higher yield than in 2018.

Sunflower harvest progress has slowed down to 3.4% behind last year, with 8.8% higher yield than in 2018. Soybean harvest has slowed down to 4.0% behind last year, with yield down 8.1% from 2018.
