Variable weather with precipitation was observed in May. Winter and spring crops are in fair to good condition. Farmers continue planting corn and sunflower, UkrAgroConsult reports.
Optimal amounts of effective moisture in the top soil layer were available to winter crops almost all over the country (21-40 mm and more).
Weather forecast for June 2-6:
– Precipitation (15-25 mm) in the form of rain with thunderstorms (possibly with hail) is expected in the western and central regions. The north will receive 10-15 mm, the eastern and southern regions will see 25-35 mm, locally up to 65 mm;
– Air temperature will be +16 … +18°C in the daytime, +6 … +8°C at night in the West; +19 … +21°C in the daytime, +9 … +11°C at night in the North, +19 … +21°C in the daytime, +10 … +12°C at night in the East; +19 … +21°C in the daytime, +8 … +12°C at night in Central Ukraine; +18 … +20°C in the daytime, +10 … +12°C at night in the South.
