Ukraine will export another 12 million tons of agricultural products by the end of the MY
This season, Ukraine will export about 12 million tons of agricultural products, including grains, oilseeds and processed products.
Such a forecast was made by Maksym Kharchenko, logistics market analyst at UkrAgroConsult, during the Black Sea Grain. Kyiv 2024 conference.
In recent months, exports have been at the level of 7 million tons, and in the first half of April, Ukraine managed to export about 4 million tons of products.
The Ukrainian grain corridor started functioning in September last year, and so far more than 26 million tons of grain have been exported through it. So far, according to the analyst, these volumes fall short of the Black Sea Grain Initiative under the auspices of the UN, as more than 32 million tons of grains and oilseeds were exported then.
“At the same time, the volumes are increasing rapidly, because the Ukrainian corridor has advantages: not only agricultural products are exported through the ports of Greater Odesa, which is extremely important for the Ukrainian economy, and there are no inspection teams from Russia that artificially impede exports,” said Maksym Kharchenko.
