Ukraine. Sunflower oil exports remain high

A record volume of sunflower oil was exported in September-July 2019/20 (+10.4% year-on-year), UkrAgroConsult reports.

July witnessed record-high exports for this month – 593 KMT – owing to increased shipments to EU countries, China, the UK, Nepal, and Saudi Arabia.

All the top importers, except for India, increased purchases of Ukrainian sunflower oil: EU countries (+11%), China (+33%), Iraq (+6%), Egypt (+110%), the UAE (+35%).

Exports to India fell by 226 KMT (down 11%), with this season’s purchases from Russia exceeding 467 KMT vs. 50 KMT a year earlier.

Growth in exports to the following markets: Poland (+156%), France (+67%), Spain (+20%).
