Ukraine. Spring wheat and barley planting lags behind last year
According to official data, 2.695 Ml ha had been planted to early spring grains in Ukraine by April 9, 2020.
Planting of the following crops lags behind last year:
– spring wheat (-19%),
– spring barley (-37%),
– oats (-40%).
Pea planting is 31% ahead of last year.
Corn and sunflower planting is far ahead of last year’s progress, UkrAgroConsult reports.
Soybean and millet planting began earlier than in 2019.
