Ukraine. Soybean yield is 18% lower than last year

According to preliminary data as of October 1, 2020, the biggest year-on-year slowdown is observed in harvesting progress of crops such as:

  • corn: -17.4% (-29.6% a week earlier),
  • sunflower: -7.4% (-7.3%),
  • soybean: -36.6% (-38.7%).

Millet and buckwheat are harvested at a faster pace than last year. Their yields are higher than a year ago: buckwheat: +4%, millet: +16%.

Lower yields than a year ago are registered for corn (-23.8%), soybean (-18.6%) and sunflower (-12.0%), UkrAgroConsult reports.
