Ukraine shipped 25 million tons of agricultural products via the sea corridor
The Ukrainian corridor has already been used by 1286 ships that have exported 25 million tons of agricultural products to Asia, Africa and Europe.
This was announced on Facebook by Oleksandr Kubrakov, Deputy Prime Minister for the Restoration of Ukraine, Minister of Community Development, Territories and Infrastructure.
He noted that 135 vessels are currently waiting to enter the ports of Odesa, Chornomorsk and Pivdennyi, with 4 million tons of cargo to be exported.
“As of now, more than 36 million tons of cargo have been exported through the Ukrainian sea corridor since August 2023. This is higher than the figures of the Grain Initiative for the year of its existence,” Kubrakov said.
The Vice Prime Minister also added that a record 195.7 thousand tons were recently exported from the port of Pivdennyi on one vessel. CAPTAIN LEONIDAS, flying the Panamanian flag, has become the largest vessel to call at Ukrainian ports since the start of the full-scale invasion. The vessel is 300 meters long, 50 meters wide and has a deadweight of over 203 thousand tons.
