Ukraine Reduces Grain Exports By 9.3% To 41.6 Million Tons Since Early MY2022/2023
The actual volume of grain exports by Ukraine since the beginning of the 2022/2023 marketing year (July 2022 – June 2023) and as of May 1 had made 41.595 million tons, down 9.3% or 4.274 million tons year over year.
This follows from a statement by the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
A total of 14,385,000 tons of wheat, 2,461,000 tons of barley, 17,900,000 tons of rye, and 24,424,000 tons of corn have already been exported.
At the same time, during the specified period, the export of wheat flour and flour from other crops increased by 86%, or by 59,100 tons to 127,700 tons.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on April 21, Poland resumed the transit of Ukrainian agricultural products under new conditions.
On August 5, the first caravan with Ukrainian grain left the seaports of Odesa and Chornomorsk.
According to the results of the 2021/2022 marketing year (July 2021 – June 2022), Ukraine’s actual grain export volumes amounted to 48.508 million tons, up 8.5% or 3.79 million tons year over year.
