Ukraine reduced linseed exports in MY 2018/19 almost by half
Linseed exports in MY 2018/19 were at a five-year low of 12.4 KMT (down 47% from MY 2017/18). Exportable supplies decreased due to a 48.1% crop decline, reports UkrAgroConsult.
The EU is the biggest importer with a market share of 55%. Its purchases from Ukraine are down more than 21% year-on-year. This drop was offset by supplies from Kazakhstan.
Bangladesh holds a 11% share in total exports against 7% a year ago.
Growth in exports as registered to the following markets: Taiwan (+319%), Slovakia (+236%) and Bulgaria (+44.8%).
A slowdown in exports was observed to Egypt (-93%), Germany (-45%) and Poland (-17.3%).
