Ukraine. Precipitation received this past week replenished soil moisture
Crop condition:
– Late November and early December featured moderately warm weather compared to usual;
– The weather conditions in most or all of November were fair for growth and development of winter crops, which continued to grow slowly due to a rise in daytime air temperatures;
– The heat to moisture ratio substantially changed the situation in winter wheat crops, specifically in those planted after nonfallow predecessors, which have just emerged now;
– Winter crops are rated fair to good.
Moisture supply:
– Precipitation occurred almost all over the country, as rain, snow and sleet;
– Precipitation received this past week replenished soil moisture, UkrAgroConsult reports.
Weather forecast for December 8-12:
– 15-35 mm of precipitation is expected in the central and northern regions and 2-15 mm in the rest of the country;
– Air temperatures will be -1 …-3°C in the daytime, -4…-6°C at night in the West; -1…+1°C in the daytime, -1…-3°C at night in the North; +6…+8°C in the daytime, +3…+5°C at night in the East; +3 …+5°C in the daytime, +3…+5°C at night in Central Ukraine; +1 …+3°C in the daytime, +1…+3°C at night in the South.
