Warm weather with fog, rain, and sleet was seen on December 18-22. The ground surface cooled to -1 … -8ºС at night, even to -10 … -16ºС in the eastern and northern regions. On warm days, it warmed to +1 … +10ºC, even to +11 … +17ºC in Lviv region and in the south.

There are no weather events that would threaten the survival of winter crops, UkrAgroConsult reports.

Their further condition will depend on air temperature, availability and thickness of snow cover.

Precipitation in the form of drizzle, fog, rain, snow, and sleet occurred almost all over the country.

Weather forecast for December 30-January 3:

  • Precipitation (5-15 mm) in the form of snow, sleet, rain will be seen in the western, central, northern, southern regions. It will be dry in the east;
  • Air temperatures will be +4 … +6°C in the west, +6 … +8°C in the north, +3 … +5°C in the east, +10 … +12°C in the south, and +7 … +9°C in the central region;
  • Ice crust formation is possible in the fields.
