Ukraine. Nibulon Max shipped 5 million tons of agricultural products for export in two years of operation
The self-propelled reloader Nibulon Max, the largest vessel of the Nibulon agricultural holding, has dispatched 5 million tons of agricultural products to more than 160 foreign vessels following the results of the first two years of operation. This was reported by the press service of the company.
In the nomenclature of overloaded cargo, 41% is wheat, 38% – corn, 16% – barley, 5% – rapeseed.
Agricultural products were sent to ports of destination in more than 30 countries of the world, including: Bangladesh, Belgium, Egypt, Israel, Indonesia, Spain, Jordan, China, Mexico, Netherlands, Germany, United Arab Emirates, South Korea, Saud. Thailand, Tunisia, Turkey, Philippines, France and others.
Thanks to the effective use of Nibulon Max in August 2021, the company set a new record for export shipments by months – 700.9 thousand tons of agricultural products. The best quarterly indicator for the shipment of products was recorded in the first three months of the 2021-2022 marketing year – 1.83 million tons, of which 62% was completed precisely due to offshore transshipment.
The floating crane Nibulon Max (project P-140) provides transportation of grain bulk and general cargo and fully carries out loading and unloading operations in the port and in the open roadstead at sea. Length – 140 meters, width – 28 meters, draft – up to 4 meters. It has two cargo holds with a capacity of 13.4 thousand cubic meters. Equipped with two Liebherr-MCCTEC Rostock GmbH full-slewing cranes with a maximum lifting capacity of 45 tons and a capacity of 18 thousand tons per day. Structural features of the installation of cranes allow you to fully handle panamaxes.
Nibulon began operating the Nibulon Max self-propelled loader in September 2019.
LLC JV Nibulon (founded in 1991) is one of the largest operators of the grain market in Ukraine, owns an extensive network of 27 elevators, including 13 river transshipment terminals: 10 branches – on the Dnieper, 2 branches – on the Southern Bug, and also its own transshipment terminal in the Nikolaev seaport. The grain storage capacity on the river is 1.13 million tons. The shipping division’s own fleet includes more than 80 vessels.
The company exported 4.6 million tons of grains and oilseeds in 2020-2021 MY . The volume of cargo transportation by inland waterways in 2020-2021 MY increased compared to 2019-2020 MY by 11% – up to 4.3 million tons.
