Ukraine is ready to adopt a system of licensing agricultural exports to Poland, but only for 4 products – Solsky
Ukraine is ready to adopt a system of licensing agricultural exports to Poland, but only for four types of grain.
This was announced by the Minister of Agrarian Policy of Ukraine Mykola Solsky, Le Monde reports.
“We are ready to adopt an export licensing system for products destined for Poland, but only for four types of grain. We already have a similar system with Romania and Bulgaria,” Solsky told AFP in an interview on Monday ahead of a meeting in Brussels with his counterparts from 27 EU countries.
On Wednesday, Ukrainian and Polish agricultural organizations will meet before a joint meeting of the two governments on Thursday, Solsky said.
Polish Minister of Development and Technology Krzysztof Hetman assured on Monday that negotiations with Ukraine on licensing are “at a very advanced stage.”
Solsky said he could not predict “what will happen in Warsaw this week.”
As reported earlier, European ambassadors failed to make a decision on Wednesday to extend trade liberalization measures for Ukraine for another year, postponing the adoption of the agreement until March 27.
