Ukraine is constantly in touch with its partners under the “grain agreement” – the UN and Turkey, and counts on the continuation of the work of the grain corridor. First Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine Taras Vysotskyi told about this on the air of the national marathon UArazom.

According to him, more than 5.5 million tons of agricultural products have already been exported in two months. Export geography – African countries (1/3 of goods), the Middle East, Southeast Asia and other destinations. First of all, there is a great demand for wheat, as well as for corn and sunflower oil.

In addition, as emphasized by Taras Vysotskyi, the percentage of exports of value-added products is growing. It is, in particular, about animal husbandry. “If our export of meat products and eggs was not bad before the war, then the export of dairy products has significantly increased: we are reaching record figures for the last two years, and there will be even more in September.

Also, in connection with the opening of the EU market and the removal of quotas and restrictions, the export of horticultural products, berries (both processed products and frozen and chilled), fruits and juices is increasing. The volumes of classic exports – honey and nuts – are also increasing,” he commented.

“The transformation process of reducing the export of raw materials and increasing the export of value-added products has begun. We are sure that it cannot be stopped – it will continue and intensify,” he emphasized.
