Ukraine initiates creation of logistics hubs in Africa

Ukraine intends to develop joint logistics projects with West African countries. This is reported by the press service of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine following the visit of the profile minister Mykola Solskyi to the seaport of Dakar.

Through the port of Dakar (Republic of Senegal) 95% of food is imported.

During the meeting Mykola Solskyi stressed that Ukraine is ready to export not only agricultural products but also other goods to African countries. To do this, it is necessary to focus on the development of logistics.

“The President of Ukraine and the Government are considering the expansion of trade relations with the countries of West Africa, in particular, the creation of joint logistics projects. This will allow to do business predictably, stabilize prices and gain confidence in the quality of grain and its supply,” Mykola Solskyi said.

The Ukrainian Minister thanked the Senegalese side for the opportunity to visit the port and get acquainted with its capacities.

Representatives of Senegal confirmed their interest in cooperation and are ready to consider the possibility of implementing joint logistics projects.
