Ukraine has restored the Black Sea maritime corridor for grain exports on its own. This was stated by Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration Olha Stefanishyna at a press conference at the European Commission Delegation in Vienna.

“You probably know that Ukraine has secured the Black Sea grain corridor on its own, not thanks to an agreement between Turkey, the UN and Russia. So, we have secured the grain corridor ourselves, and the grain ships have now been released,” Stefanishyna said.

According to her, there is also a special insurance fund organized by the UK to ensure the functioning of this “grain corridor”.

The official also pointed to progress in the implementation of the Ukrainian Formula for Peace, which is based on the UN Charter, while preserving Ukraine’s territorial integrity and sovereignty. According to Stefanishyna, individual countries are individually contributing to the implementation of the Formula.

“For example, China has already made a statement that nuclear safety is something where they can make every effort to avoid any destabilization. So we are gradually moving. And, in fact, Ukraine has made a big step in this direction,” the Vice Prime Minister emphasized.
