Ukraine has abolished the licensing of corn and sunflower oil exports
The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has abolished the mandatory licensing of corn and sunflower oil exports. This will facilitate the export of these groups of goods, as it has declined significantly due to Russia’s war against Ukraine and the aggressor’s blockade of Ukrainian ports.
This is stated in the Government Resolution of March 24, 2022 №352.
According to the Ukrainian Grain Association, corn exports from Ukraine in 2021/2022 MY were expected at 30-32 million tons with about 38 million tons of harvest. It remains to export another 14-15 million tons of corn.
It should be noted that the Cabinet of Ministers introduced licensing for the export of wheat, a mixture of wheat and rye (meslin), corn, chicken and eggs, sunflower oil on March 5, 2022.
