Ukraine. Harvesting progress, August 22, 2019

According to the latest information as of August 22:

Harvest of grains and pulses:

            – a 14% higher crop than last year;

– a 12.4% higher yield than last year;

Harvest of early grains and pulses:

            – a 13.8% higher crop than last year;

– a 12.7% higher yield than last year;

Harvest of late crops:

– buckwheat acreage forecast at 68 Th ha; 4% harvested with a 5% higher yield than in 2018;

– millet acreage forecast at 90 Th ha; 22% harvested with a 1% lower yield than in 2018;

Harvest of sunflower seed:

– harvested area forecast at 5849 Th ha (the first figure for its harvested area last year was 6058.2 Th ha);

– growers have harvested 19 KMT of sunseed from 13 Th ha with a yield of 1.48 MT/ha.
