Ukraine harvested over 33 million tons of new crop

As of the last day of summer, farmers in all regions of Ukraine harvested more than 33 million tons of new crops, including 29 million 184 thousand tons of grains and more than 4 million tons of oilseeds.

Grain and pulses were harvested on an area of 6,642 thou hectares with a yield of 43.9 c/ha, in particular

  • wheat was harvested on 4,688 thou hectares (yield 47.2 c/ha), with 22,142 tons harvested
  • barley was harvested on 1,498 thousand hectares (yield – 38.8 c/ha), with a harvest of 5,809 thousand tons;
  • peas were harvested on 154 thousand hectares (yield – 25 c/ha), harvested 385.7 thousand tons;
  • buckwheat was harvested on 19.8 thousand hectares (yield – 14 c/ha), 27.7 thousand tons were harvested;
  • millet was harvested on 16.7 thou hectares (yield – 20.4 c/ha), with a harvest of 34.1 thou tons;
  • other grains and pulses were harvested on 265.3 thou hectares, yielding 785.4 thou tons.

Oilseeds are also being harvested:

  • 3,997 thou tons of rapeseed (yield – 28.7 c/ha), harvested on an area of 1,393 thou hectares
  • sunseed was harvested 49.4 thousand tons of seeds (yield – 19.3 c/ha), harvested on the area of 25.6 thousand hectares,
  • soybeans were harvested in the amount of 30.6 thou tons (yield – 27.3 c/ha), the harvested area is 11.2 thou hectares,

Farmers in 17 regions have finished harvesting rapeseed.

The largest harvest remains in Odesa region – 3.2 mln tons. The highest yield of grains and pulses was recorded in Khmelnytsky region – 64.5 c/ha.

Agricultural producers in Vinnytsia, Dnipropetrovs’k, Donetsk, Kyiv, Mykolaiv, Poltava, Kharkiv, Cherkasy, Chernihiv, and Odesa regions have started harvesting buckwheat and millet, and millet in Odesa, Ternopil, and Kherson regions.
