Ukraine harvested almost 52.5 million tons of grains and oilseeds

As of the second week of October, Ukraine harvested almost 52.5 mln tons of new crops. Grains and legumes were harvested on the area of 7,737.9 thou hectares with a yield of 46.0 c/ha, and 35,597.3 thou tons of grain were harvested, including

• wheat threshed on 4 694.5 thousand hectares (yield – 47.3 c/ha), harvested 22 210.9 thousand tons;
• Barley was harvested on 1 504.5 thou hectares (yield – 39.0 c/ha), with a harvest of 5 863 thou tons;
• corn was harvested on 884.4 thousand hectares (yield – 66.1 c/ha), 5,846.6 thousand tons were harvested;
• peas were harvested on 154.4 thousand hectares (yield – 25.7 c/ha), 396.8 thousand tons were harvested;
• buckwheat was harvested on 127.7 thousand hectares (yield – 14.8 c/ha), with a harvest of 188.8 thousand tons;
• millet was harvested on 72 thou hectares (yield – 22.6 c/ha), with a harvest of 162.4 thou tons;
• other grains and pulses were harvested on 300.5 thou hectares, yielding 929 thou tons.

Oilseeds were harvested on an area of 6,761 thou hectares, with a total harvest of 16,883 thou tons, namely

• sunseed was harvested on the area of 3,898.5 thousand hectares (yield – 23.2 c/ha), 9,042 thousand tons of seeds were harvested;
• rapeseed was harvested on the area of 1 396 thousand hectares (yield – at 28.7 c/ha), 4 005 thousand tons of seeds were harvested;
• soybeans were harvested on the area of 1,466 thou hectares (yield – 25.8 c/ha), with 3,776 thou tons harvested.

Sugar beet harvesting continues, with 96.4 thou hectares of sugar beet harvested, 4,602 thou tons of sweet roots harvested, yielding 477.4 c/ha. The largest amount of sugar beet was harvested in Vinnytsia region – 1 479.8 thou tons.
