Ukraine harvested almost 51 million tons of grain

As of 12.01.2023, grain and pulses crops were harvested on the area of 10.9 million hectares (94%) with a yield of 4.7 t/ha, 50.965 million tons of grain were harvested, including:

  • wheat – 4.979 million hectares (100%), with a yield of 4.05 t/ha – 20.2 million tons
  • barley – 1.7 million hectares (100%), with a yield of 3.47 t/ha – 5.8 million tons;
  • 118 thousand hectares of peas were threshed (100%), with a yield of 2.28 t/ha – 269 thousand tons;
  • corn threshed on 3.6 million hectares (85%), with a yield of 6.57 t/ha – 23.5 million tons;
  • buckwheat threshed on 116 thousand hectares (98%), with a yield of 1.37 t/ha – 158.5 thousand tons;
  • millet was threshed on 44.7 thousand hectares (99%), with a yield of 2.28 t/ha, 101.8 thousand tons were harvested.

In addition, sunflower was harvested on the area of 4.8 million hectares (99%), 10.5 million tons of seeds were harvested with a yield of 2.17 t/ha;

  • soybeans were harvested on the area of 1.5 million hectares, (100%) 3.7 million tons were harvested with a yield of 2.43 t/ha;
  • rapeseed was harvested on the area of 1.1 million hectares, (100%) 3.2 million tons of seeds were harvested at a yield of 2.86 t/ha;
  • sugar beet was dug on the area of 180 thousand hectares, (99%) dug 9 million tons of sweet roots at a yield of 50.1 t/ ha.

Agrarians of Mykolaiv, Odesa, Bukovyna and Vinnytsia regions have completed the harvesting of all crops.

Poltava region is ahead of Vinnytsia region in terms of threshing grain, it has harvested 4.9 million tons, which is almost 400 thousand tons more than in Vinnytsia region.

The highest yield of grain and pulses crops was recorded in Khmelnytskyi region – 7.08 t/ha.
