Ukraine harvested 39.1 million tons of grain and 9.8 million tons of sunflower

As of November 17, 2022, grain and pulses crops were harvested on an area of ​​9 million hectares (81%) with a yield of 43.4 t/ha, 39.1 million tons of grain were threshed, including:

  • 4.7 million hectares of wheat were threshed (100%), with a yield of 41.2 t/ha, 19.4 million tons were threshed;
  • 1.6 million hectares (100%) of barley were threshed, with a yield of 35.1 tons/ha, 5.6 million tons were threshed;
  • peas were threshed on 111.5 thousand hectares (100%), with a yield of 23.4 tons/ha, 261 thousand tons were threshed;
  • corn for grain was threshed on 2.1 million hectares (50%), with a yield of 58.1 t/ha, 12.3 million tons were threshed;
  • 115,000 ha (98%) of buckwheat were threshed, with a yield of 13.7 tons/ha, 156,000 tons were threshed;
  • millet was threshed on 42.6 thousand hectares (95%), with a yield of 23.1 tons/ha, 98 thousand tons were threshed.

In addition, sunflower harvesting was carried out on an area of ​​4.5 million hectares, (96%) threshed 9.8 million tons of seeds with a yield of 21.7 tons/ha;

  • soybeans were harvested on an area of ​​1.5 million hectares, (97%) threshed 3.6 million tons with a yield of 24 tons/ha;
  • rapeseed harvesting has been completed on an area of ​​1.1 million hectares, (100%) threshed 3.2 million tons of seeds with a yield of 28.9 c/ha;
  • sugar beets were dug up on an area of ​​161,000 ha, (90%) 7.9 million tons of sweet roots were dug up with a yield of 494 t/ha.

The agrarians of the Mykolaiv region were the first to finish harvesting this year’s harvest of all agricultural crops, threshing almost 2 million tons of grain and legumes. However, the leaders are Vinnytsia and Kirovohrad region, where more than 3 million tons of grain were threshed each.

The highest yield of grain and pulses crops among the farmers of Khmelnytskyi region is 64.8 t/ha.
