Ukraine harvested 33.7 million tons of grains and oilseeds
Farmers in all regions of Ukraine harvested 33.7 million tons of new crops. As of the first week of September, 29 mln 309 thsd tonnes of grain crops were harvested, the harvested area is 6 697 thsd ha, the yield is 43.8 c/ha, including
- 4 689 thousand hectares of wheat were threshed (yield – 47.2 c/ha), 22 149 thousand tons were harvested;
- barley was harvested on 1 504 thousand hectares (yield – 38.7 c/ha), 5 822 thousand tons were harvested;
- peas were harvested on 154.4 thousand hectares (yield – 25.0 c/ha), harvested 386.5 thousand tons;
- corn was harvested on 0.7 thou hectares (yield – 30.0 c/ha), harvested 2 thou tons;
- buckwheat was harvested on 45 thou hectares (yield – 14.2 c/ha), 63.3 thou tons were harvested;
- millet was harvested on 33 thousand hectares (yield – 23.8 c/ha), harvested
79.4 thousand tons; - other grains and legumes were harvested on 271 thou hectares, with a total harvest of 807.2 thou tons.
The agrarians harvested 4.353 thou tons of oilseeds, including:
- rapeseed was harvested on an area of 1,395 thou hectares (98%), (yield – 28.7 c/ha), 3,999.5 thou tons of seeds were harvested;
- sunflower was harvested on 107.4 thou hectares (yield – 18.6 c/ha), and 199.3 thou tons of seeds were harvested;
- soybeans were harvested on 60 thousand hectares (yield – 25.7 c/ha), harvested 154.1 thousand tons.
Sugar beets were dug on an area of 2.6 thousand hectares, 116 thousand tons of sweet roots were dug with a yield of 449.6 c/ha.
Agricultural producers in Odesa region have already harvested more than 3 million tons of grain, while those in Vinnytsia, Dnipro, and Kirovohrad regions have harvested more than 2 million tons of grain. The highest yield of grain and pulses was recorded in Khmelnytsky region at 64.1 c/ha.
Farmers in 18 regions have finished harvesting rapeseed.
