Ukraine harvested 27.1 million tons of grain crops and 4.5 million tons of sunflowers

Ukrainian farmers collected 64% of the new crop as of mid-autumn. This is 27.1 million tons of grain and pulses crops, in particular, the harvesting of wheat, barley and peas has already been completed.

The highest yield of grain and leguminous crops among the farmers of Khmelnytskyi region is 6.04 t/ha. But the largest threshing of grain and pulses in Odesa region is 2.6 million tons.

Odesa, Mykolaiv and Dnipropetrovsk regions are among the three leaders in barley harvesting. From 535,000 tons to 833,000 tons were collected there. Sumy oblast farmers threshed the most buckwheat – 15.3 thousand tons, followed by Zhytomyr oblast and Ternopil oblast.

The general picture of threshing of cereals and legumes is as follows:

• 4.7 million hectares (100%) of wheat were threshed, 19.2 million tons were threshed (yield 4.10 c/ha);
• 1.6 million ha (100%) of barley were threshed, 5.6 million tons were threshed (yield 3.51 c/ha);
• 111 thousand hectares (100%) of peas were threshed, 256 thousand tons were threshed (yield 2.31 tons/ha);
• 228,000 ha (5%) of corn for grain were threshed, 996,000 tons were threshed (yield 4.37 tons/ha);
• buckwheat was threshed on 87 thousand hectares (74%), 121 thousand tons were threshed (yield 1.39 t/h);
• millet was threshed on 36.4 thousand ha (81%), 83 thousand tons were threshed (yield 2.27 tons/ha).

4.5 million sunflowers were threshed. The largest amount was in Kirovohrad Oblast – 806,000 tons. Harvesting of this crop is still ongoing, currently it has been carried out on an area of ​​2.2 million hectares (46%).

Soybeans threshed 1 million tons with a yield of 25.8 t/ha, the collection area was 389,000 ha, (26%). The largest threshing in Poltava Oblast is 198,000 tons.

2.6 million tons of sugar beet roots were dug up with a yield of 47.4 t/ha. The most in Vinnytsia region – 731 thousand tons. In total, beets were dug up on an area of ​​54,000 hectares (30%).

Rape harvesting has been completed on an area of ​​1.1 million hectares. 3.2 million tons of seeds were threshed with a yield of 2.89 t/ha. The leader is Khmelnytskyi, where 343,000 tons were collected.
