Ukraine. Grain exporters and Economic Development Ministry sign memorandum of understanding
The Ministry of Economic Development, Trade and Agriculture of Ukraine and business entities that export grain signed a memorandum of understanding.
Ukrinform learned this from the European Business Association (EBA).
"The European Business Association is pleased to announce that a memorandum of understanding between the Ministry of Economic Development, Trade and Agriculture of Ukraine and business entities exporting grain for the 2019/2020 marketing year was signed on October 3," the statement says.
The document contains mechanisms for the interaction of grain market participants, the exchange of information on grain export prospects and monitoring of grain market functioning.
The first memorandum on cooperation in the grain market was concluded between the state and grain trading companies in the 2011/2012 marketing year.
As reported, according to market operators, Ukraine’s grain exports in the coming years will increase up to 70 million tonnes.
In particular, Ukraine in the 2018/2019 marketing year exported a record amount of grain crops – 50.4 million tonnes.
