Zagreb and Kyiv were able to agree on the use of Croatian ports to export grain from Ukraine, and the allies also want to help with the implementation of the peace plan. This was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Dmytro Kuleba, held talks with the Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of Croatia, Gordon Hyrlych-Radman. Ukrainian food exports became an important topic of negotiations, since the Russian Federation recently withdrew from the grain agreement.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine added that the topic of weapons, which the Ukrainian side is trying to support with all its partners, was actively discussed at the meeting. The Ukrainian minister noted that it is too early to share details, but emphasized that it was possible to reach “concrete agreements.” The representatives of the countries also discussed the international donor conference on demining Ukraine, which will be held in Zagreb in October.

“We agreed on the possibility of using Croatian ports on the Danube and the Adriatic Sea for the transportation of Ukrainian grain. We will now work on laying the most efficient routes to these ports and making the most of this opportunity. Every contribution to unblocking exports, every open door is a real, effective contribution to the food security of the world,” noted Dmytro Kuleba.
