Ukraine exported half a million tons of food to seven countries
In two weeks, Ukraine has increased the supply of agricultural products, 16 ships have already left the ports.
As part of the action of the “grain corridor”, 16 ships with about 500,000 tons of food for seven countries in Europe, Asia and Africa have left Ukrainian ports. Since the beginning of August, Ukraine has resumed exports of corn, wheat, oil, soybeans and other goods.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyi announced this in his video message.
In addition, the first ship for Ethiopia is currently preparing to leave the “Pivdenniy” port, where the problem of hunger is particularly acute.
“This has already made it possible to reduce the severity of the food crisis, and has given some hope for peace to the countries that consume our agricultural products. And in the long run, it can help to completely remove the food crisis from the global agenda,” the president said.
In general, in two weeks, Ukraine managed to increase the trade in agricultural products to such volumes, which are equal to the entire export by motor vehicles for July and more than two thirds of the railway export for the past month.
