Ukraine. EBT terminal has updated the monthly record for grain transshipment
The grain terminal EBT in the specialized seaport (NSR) “Olvia” in November 2021 set a new record of its own in grain handling per month – 596 thousand tons. This was reported by the press service of the terminal.
This is more than 100 thousand tons higher than the previous maximum transshipment rate reached in August 2021, ”the press service said.
In November EBT accepted 21 vessels for loading, four of which belong to the supramax class and four more – to the panamax class.
In terms of cargo, the main volume fell on wheat – 346 thousand tons. Corn in the reporting month was shipped 219 thousand tons, barley – 26 thousand tons and soybeans – 5 thousand tons.

At the end of November, the EBT grain terminal reached 2 million tons, transshipped for export in the 2021-2022 marketing year (MG, July 2021 – June 2022).
LLC “Company“ Evrovneshtorg ”is the owner of the EBT grain terminal. The company was established in 1999 for the construction and development of marine terminals. The property owns almost 100 hectares of territory, the grain terminal occupies 13 hectares, the rest of the territory is promising for the development of transshipment complexes of any specialization.
LLC “EVT Grain” is a port operator of the NSR “Olvia”, operates berths No. 3 and No. 4. It specializes in the transshipment of grains, legumes and oilseeds, the provision of forwarding and agency services. The terminal handled the first ship in December 2018.
It manages the operating water area, the approach channel, own berths 180 and 280 meters long and 11.5 meters deep, storage facilities and technological equipment. Storage capacities are represented by two floor warehouses with a total capacity of 180 thousand tons and 24 silos with a total capacity of 140 thousand tons. The existing capacities of the complex allow to handle up to 4 million tons of grain annually.
