Ukraine eases ban on sugar exports
The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine eased restrictions on sugar exports by introducing an export quota of 20 thousand tons. This was announced by the representative of the Cabinet of Ministers in the Verkhovna Rada Taras Melnychuk on Telegram.
According to him, changes have been made to the volumes of quotas of goods whose exports are subject to licensing, approved by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated 27.12.2022 No. 1466.
“The quota for the export of sugar from Ukraine until 15.09.2023 is set at 20 thousand tons and stipulates that applications for licenses will be reviewed in accordance with the procedure established by the Ministry of Economy, and licenses will be issued on the basis of applications for licenses to export such goods to Romania and on the basis of approvals of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy, which will be provided within one day without involving a foreign economic entity in the procedure for interagency information exchange,” Taras Melnychuk wrote.
