Weather conditions. Late July and early August featured moderately warm weather with local rain and thunderstorms. The average daily air temperature in most regions turned out to be 0.7-6.8°С above normal, at 18-24°С. The highest air temperature was registered at 28-36°С, and the lowest one was down at 10-24°С.

Moisture supply. Precipitation was distributed very unevenly. Most of the country saw rain with thunderstorms. This precipitation did not influence soil moisture content, neither condition of late crops, because it was in the form of heavy showers.

Crop condition is mostly good and fair. Such weather conditions were not favorable enough for further development of late heat-loving crops as well as vegetables and melon crops. They influenced that of late grain and industrial crops, whose regular growth stages began earlier than usual, reports UkrAgroConsult.
