Ukraine. Corn harvest accelerated to 9% ahead of last year

According to the latest update as of October 17, planting of winter grains accelerated to 6.7% behind last year, reports UkrAgroConsult. Planting of winter rape is almost complete, with its pace being 5.4% ahead of last year.

Corn harvest accelerated to 8.8% ahead of last year, with yield unchanged from 2018. Buckwheat harvest is 37.5% behind last year, with 8.4% higher yield than in 2018. Millet harvest is 67.1% ahead of last year, with 21.7% higher yield than in 2018.

Sunflower harvest progress has slowed down to 2.2% behind last year, with 8.8% higher yield than in 2018.

Soybean harvest accelerated to 1.0% ahead of last year, with yield down 7.7% from 2018.
