Ukraine canceled the ban on the export of buckwheat

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine approved the list of goods whose export and import are subject to licensing, and quotas for 2023. The relevant resolution (No. 1466 of December 27, 2022) is published on the Government portal.

The document of the CMU canceled the ban on the export of buckwheat, introducing licensing.

At the same time, a zero quota has been preserved for the export of salt.

According to the resolution, the export of the following products is subject to licensing:

  • cattle;
  • beef and chicken;
  • edible meat offal;
  • eggs;
  • rye;
  • oat;
  • buckwheat;
  • millet;
  • sugar;
  • nitrogen, phosphorus, potash fertilizers.

It is also noted that licenses for the export (import) of goods not used in 2022 by subjects of foreign economic activity are valid until March 1, 2023, unless otherwise stipulated by the relevant international treaties of Ukraine.
