Ukraine and the UK sign agreement on the abolition of duties and quotas
Ukraine and the United Kingdom have signed an agreement on the abolition of import duties and tariff quotas in bilateral trade, with the agreement beingvalid for at least a year.
The agreement can be extended by mutual agreement of both parties, the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine noted.
It will now be possible for Ukrainian bilateral trade to sell flour, grain, dairy products, poultry meat and semi-finished products, tomato paste, honey, corn, wheat, juices, mushrooms, sugar, etc. to the UK without duties. These are the goods that Ukraine traditionally sells to the UK.
The agreement will also increase the flow of foreign exchange earnings in the country, the Ministry of Economy said.
Meanwhile, in the coming weeks, the UK will provide Ukraine with Brimstone ground attack missiles and armored vehicles for the evacuation of civilians, UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson said during his video address to the Verkhovna Rada on May 4.
