On April 12-13, Ukraine and Romania will hold the First Black Sea Security Conference of the International Crimean Platform in Bucharest. This is reported on the website of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.

“Russia’s unprovoked and unjustified military aggression against Ukraine has destroyed the security system in the Black Sea-Azov region. In order to find effective tools to respond to these challenges and provide opportunities for sustainable development for all peaceful countries in the region, Ukraine has initiated the First Black Sea Security Conference, which will be held jointly with Romania on April 12-13 in Bucharest,” the statement said.

The event will be held within the framework of the International Crimean Platform, a mechanism aimed at de-occupying Crimea and restoring Black Sea, European and global security.

The event will be attended by foreign ministers and defense ministers, heads of international institutions, government officials and independent experts representing the members of the International Crimean Platform. They will analyze the multidimensional impact of Russia’s full-scale war against Ukraine on the security situation in the Black Sea-Azov region and the world, discuss possible strategies for responding to challenges and threats, as well as the basis for the future configuration of the security system in the region.
