Ukraine and Poland signed a memorandum on the edible oil pipeline

The Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development of the Republic of Poland, as well as the Ministry of Infrastructure of the Republic of Poland concluded a quadrilateral Memorandum regarding the project for the construction of a cross-border pipeline through which Ukrainian vegetable oil will be transported to the port of Gdansk.

In the near future, Ukraine and Poland will create a working group, the purpose of which will be to work out the technical characteristics and conditions for the construction of the pipeline and two terminals. This is stated in the notification of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.

“For the past six months, we have been actively working on increasing the volume of exports of domestic agricultural products through joint checkpoints with the Republic of Poland. We are also working on reducing the queues at the Ukrainian-Polish border,” said Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine Mykola Solskyi.

For reference: Ukrainian sunflower oil before the war was exported to 107 countries of the world, and its largest consumers are located in Europe (37%), Southeast Asia (29%) and Asia (14.9%).
