4 km from the Polish border in the city of Mostyska (Lviv region), the companies UGTC Trade and Levada Cargo put into operation a modern container terminal, which also includes a grain terminal with a capacity of handling 60,000 tons of grain per month.

The CEO of Levada Cargo LLC Volodymyr Demenko said this during the EBA event “Global Outlook: Economic Forecasts of Wartime”.

“We have dreamed of building a terminal on the Poland-Ukraine border since 2015. There was a plan to later create a whole network of terminals that would make it possible to connect Ukrainian manufacturers with European customers. The start of the war stopped the active construction of the terminal, but then we realized that the plans to create an alternative corridor for Ukrainian manufacturers became even more relevant and significant. Therefore, the investors decided to complete the terminal,” Volodymyr Demenko notes.

According to him, the project will occupy a total of 36.5 hectares. The first stage is 12 hectares, in which more than $15 million has been invested.

A container terminal in Mostysk has already been launched. Now we have the opportunity to receive regular trains on European and Ukrainian tracks. Currently, the terminal load reaches 65%. We also adapted to the needs and completed the grain terminal, which can handle 60,000 tons of grain per month. In addition, we work with big bags and bulk cargoes.

Vid added that the second stage of the project is the construction of covered warehouses of class A with an area of 80 thousand m2, the third stage is the expansion of the handling capacity from 100 to 200 thousand TEU per year. The total amount of investments will be more than $25 million.
