Ukraine. Yield formation in plants will depend on weather during next growing season
Weather conditions. Much cooler than usual weather was observed on May 21-29, with rain (locally downpours), gusting wind and ground frosts, UkrAgroConsult reports.
Moisture supply. Precipitation of various intensities occurred during 3-4 days, though it was unevenly distributed over the territory. Effective moisture content in the topsoil (0-20 cm) available to winter crops was optimal (21-45 mm) in most of the western, northern and central regions and in some parts of the eastern regions.
Crop condition. The weather conditions on May 21-29 were fair for growing winter and spring grains and pulses. Further growth, development and yield formation in plants will depend on weather during next growing season and on the crop growing system.
