On the morning of October 11, 2 more bulk carriers left the ports of Greater Odesa with cargo. This was announced by Andriy Klymenko, project manager at the Institute for Black Sea Strategic Studies.

He noted that the bulk carriers are already in the territorial waters of Romania.

They left the Ukrainian port:

  • BEAVER (arrived on October 5, left on October 11), one of the largest for this time – deadweight 81,769 tons. The bulk carrier flies the flag of Liberia, the owner is from the Marshall Islands.
  • CASTOR (arrived on October 7, departed on October 11), 78,888 dwt. The bulk carrier flies the flag of Liberia, the owner is also from Liberia.

As previously reported, Ukraine’s three Black Sea ports have resumed accepting grain export ships despite Russia’s threats to fire on vessels heading to Ukrainian ports. The new corridor is protected by minefields. The route runs along the coast to the waters of Romania and Bulgaria, which are NATO countries. Previously, the grain corridor went directly across the sea to Istanbul, where a joint commission of UN, Turkish and Russian representatives inspected ships delivering Ukrainian grain.
