Turkey’s Defense Ministry announces move to extend “grain deal”

The Turkish Ministry of Defense said that negotiations in Istanbul on grain are going well. The parties are moving to extend the agreement. This was stated by Turkish Defense Minister Hulusi Akar, according to the Turkish publication Takvim.
The Turkish minister assessed the negotiations on the “grain deal” that took place on May 10-11 in Istanbul with the participation of representatives of Turkey, Ukraine, the UN and Russia. He called the talks “positive”.
“The first results show that the meeting in Istanbul was positive. The process is moving towards the extension of the grain deal,” Akar said.
