Turkey to increase flour exports to record levels in 2023-2024 season Turkey will supply about 5.4 million tons of flour to foreign markets in the 2023-2024 agricultural season, which is a record for the country, according to a report by the International Grains Council. Last season, Turkey exported 600 thousand tons of flour less.

Due to the decline in demand for flour from Iraq, the main buyers of Turkish flour will be other Middle Eastern countries, in particular Syria and Yemen, as well as sub-Saharan Africa, according to IGC.

The International Grains Council also expects that flour exports from Kazakhstan in the season 2023-2024 will decrease by 300 thousand tons to 2.6 million tons. The supply of flour from Uzbekistan will also drop to 400 thsd tonnes, compared to 600 thsd tonnes in the previous season. The shipment of this product from India will also fall – from 300 thsd tonnes to 200 thsd tonnes.

In general, the global flour trade will remain approximately at the level of the previous season and will amount to about 14.1 mln tons. The supplies of this product to the Far East Asia (this region is the main importer of flour) will decrease from 4.1 mln tons to 4 mln tons this season. 2024.
